Election Day is April 9, and there are contested races for many offices in Highland Park. The League of Women Voters has a guide with information on most candidates on the ballot. Come out and Vote
Early voting is one of the only ways to vote on Saturdays. Take advantage of this opportunity by voting on March 30 or April 6 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Lake County Health Center, 1840 Green Bay Road, Highland Park.
Early voting is also available Monday through Friday from 9 am – 4:30 pm.
If you are voting by mail, remember to send in your ballot.

Voting Details
For those who have asked, grace period voter registration for Lake County residents will be available March 13 – April 6 at the Lake County Clerk’s office in Waukegan, and March 25 – April 6, at the Lake County Central Permit Facility in Libertyville. Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday March 30 and April 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click read more for further information on this, and on voting by mail.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the election, and provide two forms of identification. Those who register under the grace period provision must vote at the time of registration.
If you would like to vote by mail, you can request an application via email at VotingByMail@lakecountyil.gov or by calling 847.377.2406. The last day to request a ballot is April 4. Go to www.friendsofkimstone.com/vote for links to the County website with further details.

Vote Early
Early voting begins on March 25. You can vote at the Health Center located at 1840 Green Bay Road, Highland Park. For information on hours or other voting locations, click here. Any registered voter in Lake County may choose to vote early. Early voters are required to present to voting officials a valid Illinois driver’s license, an Illinois identification card issued by the Secretary of State, or any other valid government-issued identification document containing their photograph and name.
League of Women Voters Candidates’ Debate
Sunday March 10 from 12:00 – 4:30 pm is the Highland Park-Highwood League of Women Voters Candidate Debate. Hear candidates for City Council speak from 2:45 – 3:45 pm. Register to Vote by March 12
If you’ve recently moved, turned 18, or have changed your name; you’ll need to register to vote by Tuesday, March 12 in order to be able to vote in the April 9 election.
