The City of Highland Park is governed by six City Council Members and a Mayor.

Council members are elected at large for staggered four-year terms. The City Council and Mayor hire a City Manager who is in charge of day-to-day operations of the City, while the Council focuses on policy.

The City of Highland Park provides public safety, community and economic development services, and maintains infrastructure that we depend upon in our daily lives. The Fire Department, Police Department, roads and sidewalks, sewer and water supply are all managed by the City.

The Highland Park City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 pm at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns. Agendas are generally posted on the City website by the Thursday before the meeting, and you can watch meetings online anytime.
